Our Story
We are a North Carolina based non-profit, 501(c)(3) focusing on the foster and adoptive care communities, especially those little hearts at the center. Foster-care and adoption can be equally rewarding and heartbreaking for all those involved. We strive to support and help strengthen children and families who are experiencing foster care or adoption
What started out as one person's heart for children experiencing foster care and adoption, and a passion for design, became a dream, which turned into a leap of faith that ultimately gave root to what is now Home Sweet Hope!
Meet The Team
Staci Stepp
Executive Director/designer
Staci is the Founder of Home Sweet Hope. When she became a foster parent in 2018 and was preparing the room for her own foster children to arrive, she thought to herself; "I could do this as a way to help others". Interior design, and the well-being that a well thought out and organized room brings has always been important to her. She wanted to use the gifts and talents she possessed to create beautiful spaces to benefit others. Especially children and teens that have experienced loss and trauma, much like she experienced in her young life. She knew that by providing custom spaces for them it would give them back some of the dignity they had lost, it would send the message to them that they are loved, cared for, and that they matter. Staci had a big dream to create an organization that would incorporate interior design as way to love children from hard places, but now that it has come to fruition, she couldn't imagine herself doing anything else. She contributes her success to the hand God has laid on this ministry, her faith and obedience to him in all circumstance, as well as the love and support provided to her by her friends and family as she has embarked on this wonderful journey to place beauty in the lives of vulnerable children.

Our Vision
At Home Sweet Hope, it is our goal to bring resources, advocacy, and hope to the families opening their homes and hearts, but most importantly to the children on this journey hoping for a family and a home to call their own. We do this in one of the most unique ways, by providing custom room makeovers to accommodate the needs and wants of the child experiencing foster-care or adoption. As a Christian based non-profit, we recognize that faith and hope is the foundation of a life well lived, and our vision can be summed up best by Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." It is our firm belief, that with the right foundation for these children and families, anything is possible. By gifting rooms, If we can provide children with the affirmations that show them they are loved, cared for, and worthy, and provide the resources to the families to accomplish this, then we have been equally blessed.
Our Mission
Home Sweet Hope strives to provide domestic resources to support the families and youth in our communities involved in the foster care system or that have recently been adopted. Our organization donates complete custom room makeovers for foster and adopted youth. We hope by providing these tangible services as well as holding annual events, we can bring advocacy and awareness pertaining to the needs of vulnerable children, as well as strengthen the foster and adoption communities by creating spaces where children can thrive, regain lost dignity and know they are loved and worthy.
